Here is a clip from Friday 16 December’s 6 Music breakfast show where Shaun Keavney reads out some middle aged shout outs. This one is for my brother who became a dad the day before:

Taken from their Glastonbury podcasts, this is Adam’s jingle about how much he enjoys festivals.

Well, it made me laugh. You can download the MP3 if you like.

Why be Denny Different? Why?

Investigate the answer on facebook and twitter and more twitter, get the T-Shirt on Red Bubble and be inspired by illustrations.

Or download the full “Denny different” Adam and Joe podcast from the BBC site.

Add others you find in the comments….

I commute for 180 minutes a day at the moment, and one thing that makes that journey bearable is podcasts of the Adam and Joe show on BBC 6 Music. If you’ve never listened, you’re too late, they’re taking a break for a few months. But here’s a snippet of what you’ve missed… (you can still catch some of their podcasts in iTunes if you’re an iPod person). You can also catch Adam at the regular BUG nights at the National Film Theatre.

I like to listen to Adam and Joe, but I listen to the podcast, not the live show. I have never joined in on their text the nation feature but many have, and they have a special jingle for it which is impressively composed and sung by the two of them:

Original jingle

In last weeks podcast they feature a specialy composed version sung by an amateur choir from Baldock in Hertfordshire which is a town I know fairly well (or at least has a pub I know very well as you can see here, here, here and here). Unfortunately for the Choir Adam and Joe were not very impressed, you can listen to the choirs efforts and the following critique here:
